About the Journal

Journal of Socioecological and Humanitarian Expansion (JSHE) is a peer-reviewed journal that examines the relationships between social processes, ecological systems, and human conditions. Recognizing these phenomena as interconnected across disciplinary, geographical, and institutional boundaries, JSHE publishes research on how human activities interact with ecological systems, the institutional and economic structures that shape these interactions, and their implications for communities, livelihoods, and human welfare.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, and methodological contributions. Qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and comparative approaches are welcome, provided that they demonstrate methodological rigor and a clear contribution to knowledge. All manuscripts undergo Single blind peer review.

Peer Review Process

JSHE applies a Single blind peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Each submission is first screened by the editor for scope, originality, and compliance with author guidelines, then reviewed by at least two independent experts. Authors must remove all identifying information from the manuscript before submission. The editor makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
